Pray On Because God Hears Every Prayer

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”

This thought, “God is not deaf,” occurred to me one morning when I was pondering situations in my life. It seemed that no matter how much I prayed for solutions, my prayers were met with silence.

Where was God and why wasn’t He helping me?

The Bible tells us that God hears our every prayer (Psalm 145:19) and He will save us when we cry out to Him.

So why do I struggle with feeling like my prayers are not reaching Heaven?

Perhaps it’s because I’m only human and sometimes situations in this life on Earth can feel overwhelming.

However, it’s good to know and remember that my faith is bigger than my feelings.

God taught me a few years ago to choose my faith in Him over my feelings because feelings are often not factual. But everything God says in His Word (The Holy Bible) are facts.

So when the Bible says that God hears my prayers, that’s the truth and I need to believe it.

Looking back over the years, I can see how God did answer so many of my prayers.

I know that He’ll continue to answer my prayers according to His will for the rest of my life. He may not always answer in the ways I think He should, but that is okay because God knows more than I do, and I can rest in the fact that God has my best interest at heart.

Knowing this helps to relieve any worries I have about how a situation will turn out because I know God will work everything together for my good (Romans 8:28).

There’s a song by Babbie Mason called “Pray On.”

The lyrics resonate with me because it teaches me the importance of pressing on in prayer no matter how a dire situation looks or how depressed I feel.

Babbie admonishes the listeners to remember that even when things look impossible, the God we serve is in the miracle making business.

The Bible is filled with true stories of situations that looked like all hope was lost until the people called on God. When they remembered that God can move mountains, their prayers changed everything.

Babbie reminds us that prayers of righteous people tear down mighty strongholds. She encourages us to not fix our eyes on our earthly circumstances but instead look to the Lord.

When we feel like our questions we ask God are not being answered and our prayers are in vain, and nothing is changing then we need to trust that our Heavenly Father knows our needs.

God hears our every prayer every single time. Babbie reminds us that our prayers are being delivered to God in Heaven and our answers are on the way!

So what do we do when it feels like God is silent?

We keep praying and having faith that He will answer us in His perfect time.

We rest assured that God rewards those who seek Him.

He sees everything—good and bad, that happen to us. He is a just Judge and victory will be ours if we don’t give up!

Remember: In the end, God wins. No situation is too troubled for God to resolve.

Listen to the song “Pray On” and remember who God is and how much He loves you.
