It Will Dawn on You: Trust God’s Plan
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
It will dawn on you that God loves you and He has a plan for you.
My husband and I like to remind each other of this. Life is a constant series of ups and downs though, and mostly we seem to live in that somewhere in-between and we wonder.
We wonder a lot. We wonder if God really hears us or if God really knows the number of hairs on our heads.
How soon we forget what God actually says to us;
“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
Luke 12:6-7 NIV
So why on earth do we not realize our worth in God’s eyes?
Why do we fear things or lack the gumption to get up and do what we know we should some days? Why do we ever doubt God?
“Do not be anxious” God commands us throughout the Bible, yet it seems like we get anxious from time to time and for some of us, time and time again.
Take comfort in believing and receiving today while it is still today.
Here’s the deal. God cares. He cares so much that He sent His Son Jesus to come to earth and die on a lonely and very despicable cross.
We look at the cross of Jesus sometimes and overlook how very personal it is to us. It was for us; you and me, that He died.
We cannot ever forget that because when we forget that very fact for even a moment in time, the fears, uncertainties and doubts naturally fall into being.
That is because it is a fallen world so instead of nice thoughts like pretty snow falling or a gentle spring rain falling, doubts may fall when we forget.
There are times when I will forget the simple things, like brushing my teeth, or returning a phone call to my sister. But let me be really honest with you. Each day I must pray that amongst all the lost and forgotten to-do’s on my daily list, I do not forget how much my Savior loves me and how He took my place on that cross at Calvary.
Let me not forget to pray with all of my heart remembering that God knew me way before the second I caught breath in this world, and it is my duty as a child of God to get to know my heavenly Father on a regular basis.
Let me not forget that through the power of His Son and that of His Holy Spirit I can do anything in Christ (Phil 4:13).
As I write this, I find myself transitioning into prayerfulness. I realize that I often wander too far from where He stands, waiting for me to find Him. He wants to guide me to look more closely at what He has laid before me in my lifetime.
And from where He stands there is no time.
Thank You God for Your divine grace and mercy. You know how I tend to wander in my head!
Pin this for later…

Amen! Thanks for the reminders, Dawn.
