Taking a Leap Of Faith On A God Dream

TeaJoy was born out of a time when I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I knew that the normal 9-5 wasn’t for me, but I didn’t know what I was supposed to be focusing my time or effort on.

I was praying and I felt God say to me, “You know those God dreams that you have in your back pocket, let’s give one of those a shot.”

Something that my husband and I do a lot is something I call God-dreaming.

In essence, we come up with ideas or thoughts that we could pursue. If money, time, or red tape wasn’t in the way, what could God do with us?

TeaJoy was one of those ideas. I knew I was supposed to be writing in some aspect.

Then we thought maybe I could write a devotional book. Then we thought it should be something cozy like devotionals and blankets.

Then we thought maybe tea and devotionals.

The more we let the Holy Spirit lead, the more the ideas come and the dream starts to take shape. But we sat on the idea for a while before doing anything about it.

My husband and I were living in Connecticut, we were both in school, and we were both working part-time jobs.

I could have stayed in school and gotten a degree. But it felt so wrong; there was no peace and no joy in being in school.

That was when the Holy Spirit reminded me of the God dream to take a leap of faith on. So I leapt.

Was it the easy choice? NO!

Do I absolutely love what I do, feel the closest to the Lord I have ever been, and learned so much along the way? YES!

Going outside of what is “normal” is so scary and I won’t lie that it doesn’t come without challenges, but it is so rewarding.

If there is a God dream that He has given you, starting a business, traveling, starting a family, pursuing a hobby, etc., I want to encourage you to take a leap of faith in it.

If you believe that God is telling you to move in a direction that feels uncomfortable, take that leap of faith, it will be so worth it.

When you step out in faith with the Lord, He will direct your steps and be with you every step of the way.

More About TeaJoy

Our Teas Are Here To Bless You

All of the teas that we make at TeaJoy are hand-blended and prayed over to bless you (1 Thess. 5:16-18).

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV

God Has Given Us A Beautiful Home

At TeaJoy we want to honor the planet that the Lord has given us by using organic teas and herbs (Gen. 1:28).

“God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Genesis 1:28 NIV

Blessing Others Blesses The Lord

We strive to love our neighbors as ourselves by sourcing all of our ingredients ethically (Mark 12:31).

“The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[a] There is no commandment greater than these.”

Mark 12:31 NIV

Caring For Your Body Worships The Creator

We choose to care for our bodies as a temple by not adding any additives, flavors, or preservatives to our teas (1 Cor. 6:19).

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;”

1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV
