Rise Up Sweet Child
Oh Child, now is the time, now is the time
Rise above, push through, go beyond
Open your eyes, open your ears
No more passivity
I’m calling you
Releasing you
The time has come to respond
Can you say, say, say, say
Shout it from the mountaintop
Whisper from the valley
My fire within you is burning brighter
Brighter with each day
Like My love for you
My love for you
My love is here to stay
Rise up higher dear son and daughter, I will not let you fall
Push through, break through, know that I am your All in all
Go beyond the last step taken, let Me take you further
I’m on the sideline encouraging you, your Friend, your Hope, your Brother
Rise above all that is keeping you down
Rise above all that tries to steal your crown
Rise above everything making you frown
Rise above darkness wanting you to drown
Rise, rise, rise
Rise, rise, rise
Push through the gates that keep you in bondage
Push through the cruel lies where death is the wage
Push through, for the Lord has set His own stage
Push through, all locks are released from the cage
Push, push, push
Push, push, push
Go beyond to treasures waiting unseen
Go beyond, you’re free, you’ve been washed so clean
Go beyond with God and promises glean
Go beyond to places you’ve never been
Go, go, go
Go, go, go
Oh Child, now is the time, now is the time
Rise above, push through, go beyond
Open your eyes, open your ears
No more passivity
I’m calling you
Releasing you
The time has come to respond
Can you say, say, say, say
Shout it from the mountaintop
Whisper from the valley
My fire within you is burning brighter
Brighter with each day
Like My love for you
My love for you
My love is here to stay
Rise up higher dear son and daughter, I will not let you fall
Push through, break through, know that I am your All in all
Go beyond the last step taken, let Me take you further
I’m on the sideline encouraging you, your Friend, your Hope, your Brother
You can do it
You can do it
Rise above
Push through
Go beyond
Rise above, push through, go beyond
Rise above, push through, go beyond
